Disasterpeace – More on the Failings of Psychopath / NT Alliances

I am skeptical of any so-called alliance bewteen neurotypicals and psychopaths.  While I have written before on the preposterous nature of such an alliance – as it makes a fool out of both the psychopath and the neurotypical – I believe that such an alliance is impossible anyway.  That does not mean that there cannot be peace between the two groups, but as with any partition of the human condition, the haves will fight the have-nots and vice versa.  We see this all the time with partitions.  The wealthy exploit the poor.  The poor seek legislation to limit the wealthy.  Those that are sick want the resources of the healthy.  Those that are healthy are only willing to help the sick that “deserve it.”  So on and so forth.  Whenever a partition exists, strife and consternation are sure to follow.  Why then would a partition between those with teeth and those without be any different?

We’re in Love with Malicious Intent

People want to believe that malice only lives in the heart of the antisocial.  The truth is, that whenever two groups exist, malice will find a way into the minds of all.  Whether it is heterosexual versus homosexual, transgender against cisgender, or Christian versus Muslim, arbitrary divides will cause hatred to swell within the hearts of anyone.  I would be foolish to suggest that the antisocial is a pleasant person, however the very definition of the condition begets an interesting observation.  Since the antisocial is opposed to the rights of others, nearly everyone is in their outgroup, and this implies that the antisocial is equal opportunity with their malice.  Which would you rather encounter: one who claims to be good and acts otherwise or one that never claimed to be pure to begin with?

Proximity

My convictions are selfish in nature.  Most issues of social justice and tolerance are of no importance to me.  Where I am incongruent to progressive thoughts of egalitarianism, I lose no sleep.  I am biased and bigoted in my own fashion, as is every other human being on this earth.  I am susceptible to change and realignment, however – just not in the manner that most progressives undertake when changing their own held values and bigotries.

Respecting the Few: The Self-Aware Antisocial

I’ve seen an interesting trend among those who have ASPD and / or psychopathy and are committed to discourse.  They often get called out as “fake”.  Now, some of these people are undoubtedly fake, but the not so subtle message is clear: those with ASPD can never be mindful enough to realize restraint.  The restrained antisocial almost undoubtedly has a sordid past that must be honored, however like the alcoholic, maybe that past is not one to carry into the present nor the future.  Some people that have conquered their actions come to a place of forgetfulness.  Some turn to discourse.  Of course, it would be foolish to assume that thought processes have changed, but we cannot gauge the integrity of another based on private property.  While I lose no sleep over the occasional attempt to rattle me, I do see red when I see my brethren under attack.  The key to advancing knowledge on what differentiates those antisocials and psychopaths that are free and productive members of society from those that remain behind prison walls is discourse.  Attempts to further this body of knowledge should be celebrated, not condemned.  That is, unless the goal is simply to shut down all discussion on those personality disorders deemed unclean by society.

The Wolf Inside – Blurring the Lines Between Psychopath and Neurotypical

The recent controversy surrounding Caitlyn Jenner, the affluent transwoman, and Rachel Dolezal, the NAACP official who is Caucasian but identifies as black, has brought an unholy storm upon social media.  Those that are easily disgusted find that they are appalled at the seeming blurring of the lines of groups held sacred.  The truth is, most neurotypicals are queasy about “out-group” members invading spaces that “do not belong to them.”  Whether it is the transman transitioning from female to male or the black individual having a skin condition that makes them gradually look Caucasian, people are easily disturbed by this.  What then of the psychopath that wears the mask of the neurotypical in order to avoid the stigma conferred by society?  It would make sense that these psychopaths if found out could face their own backlash and gnashing of teeth.
